Four competitions: shared weekly standings and an independent GM contest in each league.
Any registered member may create a league for the active season. A league has at most 32 GM seats and one commissioner, who may also be a GM. Members may join more than one league; each league has its own GM roster and standings. The commissioner sets the draft order, manages that league, and can invite prospective GMs by email. Email links expire after seven days, can be used once, and must be accepted using an account with the invited email address. A shared invitation code is another way to request a seat. An invitation does not reserve a seat until accepted.
A GM seat costs $10 CAD per league, or a league creator may prepay $320 CAD for all 32 seats. Members of a fully sponsored league are not charged the $10 seat fee again. An unpaid seat is pending until its membership payment is confirmed; pending GMs cannot enter the league draft. The commissioner role itself does not use a GM seat. Competition entry fees are separate and have not been set or collected through this site.
Weekly picks combine members from every league on one leaderboard. One person has one entry per week even if they belong to more than one league. The organizer selects the pool games for each NHL week and marks one game as the total-goals tiebreaker. Pick the winner of any open game. Picks lock individually at the scheduled puck drop, using the updated NHL start time. A correct pick earns one point; an incorrect or missing pick earns zero.
Weekly standings rank by correct picks. If players tie after the tiebreaker game is final, the guess closest to the combined final goals ranks first. An empty tiebreaker guess ranks after a valid guess; equally close guesses remain tied. Season standings add correct picks across all weeks; ties remain shared. A postponed pool game stays on its original week's slate, follows its new scheduled start, and is graded only after a final result.
Choose one NHL skater. The NHL skater with the most regular-season goals plus assists (points) wins this competition. Pool players who choose the same NHL skater share that result. If selected NHL skaters finish with the same points, their pool players tie. A pick can be changed until September 29, 2026 at 5:00 PM Eastern time.
Choose one NHL goalie. The lowest regular-season goals-against average (GAA) among selected goalies who played at least 25 NHL games wins. Lower GAA is better. Before a goalie reaches the minimum, the standings show “Pending”; an unqualified goalie cannot win. Equal GAA values in the NHL data share the same finish. A pick can be changed until September 29, 2026 at 5:00 PM Eastern time.
Each league drafts its own exclusive NHL roster, with up to 32 GMs and one commissioner. The same NHL player may appear in separate leagues. Earn fantasy points for goals, assists, goalie wins, and shutouts. Once that league’s draft is complete, its GMs may propose balanced trades with other GMs in the same league. Each GM team also has three injury reserve spots for commissioner-approved call-ups from the undrafted player pool. Only NHL regular-season games and statistics count. The schedule, scores, winner results, skater points, and goalie GAA are refreshed from NHL data. The organizer selects the weekly game slate before the first pick is submitted. The weekly leaderboard spans all leagues; GM standings stay within each league. Competition entry fees, when set, are separate from league membership. The current weekly picks page uses one entry per pool account per week.
